YOU MUST HAVE A PARENT PERMISSION FORM (notarized) HANDED IN TO COACH DENTON AND AN UP TO DATE PHYSICAL ON FILE IN THE FRONT OFFICE TO BE ABLE TO TRYOUT.

DATES:       Monday October 9th, Tuesday October 10th, and Wednesday October 11th

 

TIMES:       2:00 to 4:30 on Monday 

                   3:00 to 4:30 Tuesday

                   3:00 to TBA Wednesday

 

LOCATION:          Softball Complex behind Niceville City Hall (except the fitness tests will                        be at the NHS track first thing on Monday – bring running shoes and                               cleats for this)

 

FORMAT:    Fitness Tests (1 mile run, 40 yard dash, Illinois Agility Test)

                   3 v 3 (no keepers)

                   4 v 4 (no keepers)

                   6 v 6 (with keepers)

                   8 v 8 (with keepers)

 

SELECTION:         Teams will be selected by Coach Denton and Coach Brown.  Players will be picked based on what the coaches determine to be best for the team (for this year and for future years) using the scoring sheet found on the back of this paper.  Players will be notified at the conclusion of Wednesday’s tryout if they were cut or if they made either Varsity or Junior Varsity.

 

Monday October 9th

          1:45pm                            School lets out – players should dress out and warm-up

          2:00pm                           Fitness tests at the NHS track

          3:00pm – 4:30pm             Small-sided games starting with 3v3 then 4v4

 

Tuesday

          3:00pm-3:45pm               4v4 (if still needed) 6v6 (with keepers)

          3:45pm-4:30pm               8v8 (both with keepers)

 

Wednesday

          3:00pm-TBA                             Mixture of 3v3, 4v4, 6v6, and 8v8

          TBA                     Handing out of letters (this will be no later than 4:30, but more than likely much earlier)

 

 

Please be properly dressed and attired to play soccer (cleats, shinguards, etc.)  Players not properly attired will not be permitted to tryout.  Running shoes will be necessary for the mile test on the track.  The 40 yard dash can be done in either running shoes or cleats – your choice.  Bring a water bottle to drink from.  We will provide a cooler with ice water in it, but you will need to have a bottle to drink from.
